She graduated from PSG Medical College, Coimbatore in 2001 and obtained her DLO from Madurai Medical College, Madurai in 2004. She qualified for the Diplomate of National Board Exams from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 2008. 

She completed her course in Biostatistics and Research Methodology from Manipal University and also done a basic research course in biomedical research conducted by ICMR National Institute of Epidemiology.

She is an Invited speaker at State, National and International conferences and presented research works at various National and International conferences and won awards for many.

She is involved in post-graduate teaching and being a co-guide for their thesis for 12 years.

She is a reviewer for various reputed journals.

She has won the CIGI award for best research work in the cochlear implant from Cochlear Implant Group of India.

She has won the Distinguished Alumni Award from PSG Institute of Medical Science, Coimbatore.

Served as nodal officer for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme for Cochlear Implantation and was involved in evaluation, surgery and Post OP habilitation of cochlear implantees for 8 years at MERF (nearly 1200 implant recipients).

Organized a free hearing screening along with pulse polio for the first time in India under District collector’s supervision at VIVID Speech and Hearing Care Solutions, Tirunelveli in 2019.
